About Reflexology

Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive, and effective holistic therapy that stimulates the body’s natural healing systems and promotes better health. It is beneficial for any age group, and integrates well with complimentary and modern medicine alike.

Reflexology is based on the principle that reflex areas in the feet, hands, ears and face relate to specific areas throughout the body. These areas can be seen as a “map” of the whole body. Stress, toxins and illness can create blockages inhibiting the flow of energy. Skillful application of therapeutic pressure and palpation techniques to these reflexes transfers an impulse via the nerve pathways to the related area. This often results in clearing blocked pathways, restoring the flow of energy and balance. The nervous system, circulatory system and energy pathways respond particularly well to this reflex stimulus, inducing deep relaxation and promoting the circulation of oxygen and nutrients, to allow the body’s tissues and organs to heal.

Foot Reflexology

There are more than 70,000 nerve endings in the feet, making them very responsive to the sensory input of Reflexology. This therapy can calm or stimulate, depending on what is required. By reflexing the points and sending intentional messages to the whole nervous system, we can: reduce tension, reduce pain, improve sleep, and help the body function optimally.

Facial Reflexology

Facial Reflexology is unique in its combination of bringing clinical neurology together with ancient healing techniques, including oriental meridians, acupuncture points, and Vietnamese and South American Indian facial maps. Due to the proximity to the brain, when facial reflexes are stimulated, they have a direct and positive impact on: neurological issues, stroke recovery, brain injuries, poor memory, and much more.
